Entrecard + SezWho = Increase readers and comments
I joined Entrecard community one month back. I can tell you one thing that more number of readers have engaged with my blog and are regularly commenting.
Yesterday, i found out that Entrecard has joined their hands with SezWho. Immediately i jumped to sezwho website to find about it.
Well its an another great service that you can add in your blog by installing their plug-in.
SezWho – Empower your community and drive traffic with Comments, Blog rating
After going through their website, i decided to install the SezWho plug-in on this wordpress blog.
With this plug-in, the commentators will be rewarded for their comments on this blog and becomes an incentive to comment more on my blog.
Benefits on commenting on my blog:
- I have installed CommentLuv plug-in which displays your latest blog’s post beneath your comment. If you leave a comment, other readers might click on your latest blog’s post link and visit your blog. Is it not great? - I have installed NoFollow Free Plug-in. If you leave more than 5 comments on my blog, nofollow tag is removed and you will get a backlink. - I have installed Show Top Commentators plug-in. On my sidebar, i have put “Commentators of the Month”. If you see under that, you will see the list of Top Commentators of the month. If you are in the top ten then you will get a backlink for actively participating on my blog. I have set it to reset every month so that everyone a fair chance!
- I have installed SezWho plug-in yesterday. If you are already on the SezWho community and Entrecard community, your comment will be rewarded with Entrecard credits by commenting on my blog.
- More comments make the blogger happy and satisfied and also learns from other commentators
SezWho plug-in gives you more control as to what is being displayed and where, you can do so by:
- Turning on the “Disable Auto Layout” option on the SezWho plug-in configuration.
- You can Add the SezWho codes manually on your theme files

Although I like the idea I found there automatic installation to be full of XHTML errors. So I went for the manual installation and its worked fine. Also if you have avatars enabled in your blog then your comments might look a bit messy since SezWho also displays your image.

I got myself pretty frustrated for not being able to install sezwho plugin on my blog. The thing is I could seem to get the mouseover effect to work on my blog upon installation.
So till I find the solution which I haven’t yet, I think I have to miss this thing for a while.

Entrecard has greatly increased SezWho’s popularity. I totally agree with every impression Entrecard is making about SezWho. I also agree with you that with SezWho, one can increase the number of comments on his/her blog, but wait a minute…
Entrecard will be rewarding people for comments. Don’t you think this will increase comment spam? How genuine will a comment be if someone is dropping it just for a reward?
Maybe I am missing something…

I agree with you this will increase comment spam. But we need to moderate it well and have anti spam plug-ins installed to fight with it.
Great work on integrating all of these features Nihar. I really like it. I’m going to choose not to comment on the spam related issues due to our lengthy discussion on the other related post you made.
I’ve already clicked on a SezWho link from this blog. Nifty little feature!
Actually, one thing I have noticed though is that the processing time it takes to submit a comment on your blog is a REALLY long time compared to other blogs. I’d say on average after click on “submit” it takes at 10 seconds to go through, probably longer.
I’m not sure if this is a webhost issue or maybe all these plugins are causing a slow down. Not sure if you are already aware of this but if I were you I would definitely try to improve that processing time.
