Yahoo Messenger 9.0

Finally Yahoo! has officially released final version of Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.

Yahoo has released its popular IM for Windows XP and Vista, and comes packed with many new features including the new and improved user-interface.

The most interesting feature that I would like to mention first is the Pingbox, a new application that you can embed into your blog, website or social network page where visitors can IM you anonymously (or they can identify themselves) and you can also reply them back without revealing your Yahoo! ID.

ah, so it’s out of beta… i was using the beta version for a while, but rolled back to v8 because i found the beta a bit sluggish. hopefully this final version won’t have that same problem for me. :)

@kouji, Yes try this yahoo messenger 9.0 has got many new features…

  3. Might have to give it a try, in the past I have not been a fan of Yahoo! messenger so I have stuck to AIM. It looks quite a bit prettier even if it isn’t more effective.

@James Spinosa, I use yahoo mssgr occasionally, i always use gtalk.

  5. Although I know individuals that have used AIM and MSN Messenger, I haven’t run across many individuals that use Yahoo Messenger. That Pingbox portion sure is a way to add functionality.
