October 2008 Blog Traffic & Income statistics
Here is October 2008 Monthly Statistics and Earnings of my website.
Following is October 2008 Statistics: 140,076 Visits, 339,204 Pageviews
- Search Engines – 94,028 (67.13%) visits
- Referring Sites – 30,355 (21.67%) visits
- Direct Traffic – 15,693 (11.20%) visits
Traffic in October is very good compared to September.
Referring Sites traffic breakdown (Top 3):
- StumbleUpon – 23,457 visits
- Entrecard – 1024 visits
- Digg – 104 visits
This month my Referring Sites is 21.67% of whole traffic, last month it was 13.63%. It has improved a bit. From the above you can I am still doing very bad in Referring Sites. Need to get lot of backlinks and also improve social bookmarking websites.
Why i am saying this is… Big chunk of referring sites traffic is taken up by StumbleUpon.

Things happened on this blog in October 2008 :
- I am busy now a days. Due to this, i stopped publishing “Friday Night Links party” every Friday
, I know it is bad on my part, there are lot of readers who were expecting this post. I promise i will again start it this month.
Don’t know what is “Friday Night Links party” ??. It is a Party where drinks links are served. In September, I organized four Links party

No problem without referral sites. Also, don’t believe stumbleupon traffic, it is just a traffic with visitors staying for less than 5 seconds. Only few may stay.

Great man… I do not get my AdSense checks every month… It’s every other month or so – clocking roughly 80 dollars from AdSense per month.
Any tips on how to improve the CTR?

@Ajith, Don’t worry keep improving. try to apply different colors and sizes of ads and place them at different place and monitor the channels.
I am keeping track of channels. The problem I see is that the proportion of traffic from India is very high and CPC for that part is very low
Anyways, it’s always good to build the traffic and valuable readers first and then talk about money.

@Ajith, Yeah the CPC is always low for me too. Now a days my eCPM is also very low. Do you know why it is like that?
I see these peaks in statistics are from stumbleupon. Isn’t that true? What’s the difference with these two flat visits. Does is grow constantly?
