hi,
it did not work for me…. i changed to 256TCP IP, but same problem is still there….

Utorrents and browser are not working simultaneously.

@chris, My problem was browser stops working when i used uTorrent. As soon as i close , it was working. I am not sure why for you even after closing it isn’t working. Do you have system restore enabled. Try doing restore. and let me know what happens

hey guys, i seem to be having the same problem after downloading utorrent but i uninstalled utorrent and deleted any files that wer to do with it or downloaded by it and i still cant get any browsers to open up. any help would be majorly appreciated i’ve been trying to get it working all day! I have a dual boot system but while using xp for uttorent I also get lack of web service on my browser’s. In order to fix this problem it has to do with DHT and Local peer discovery and peer exchange. When you disable these 3 unnecessary features your browser will begin to work again. These features are only helpful if the tracker is down so if you are using a torrent portal website then who cares XD

@James, i doubt that speeds has gone down after applying the patch. It may be true. Why not do run system file checker which will restore original tcpip.sys file. If that works, then the culprit is this patcher. If not then your ISP or router has removed the port that you are using.

I normally add the port number that i use for torrent in port forwarding section of router.

Well,that worked for the browser issues, however now I have a bigger problem.
Since applying that patch, The dreaded red exclamation mark has appeared on Utorrent, saying the ports are not forwarded properly anymore. This is a rather large problem as this is a block of flats with wifi access and I have no idea where the router is, I was getting speeds of 500kb a sec before I applied this thing, now its not getting past 10kbs, any ideas that could get me out of this predicament would be most gratefully recieved.

Wade Briggs, The problem that i mentioned can occur with any torrent client. It is due to lot of connections used up for torrents

I use Zune for downloading torrents and don’t seem to have any of the above problems. Of course, I’m not very experienced with torrents so I may not realize the problem. Have you ever tried Zune?

@moserw, It depends. for me the bandwidth is never an issue because, i have 50 Mbps internet connection.
