This is bad news. Fortunately I only have my notebook on Windows XP. My other machine I have moved to Ubuntu. I feel that Microsoft should have got the problems with Vista fixed before they took this step. There is a plus side to this though, there should be less of those irritating updates.

it is bad news who use windows XP and office 2003.i think they should not do this,because there are so many people are here who like to work on old version.

It is bad news for all those who love Windows XP.
Well, it is a year later, and thankfully the advent of the netbook with lower specced processors and RAM that can not handle the demands of Windows 7 has extended the lifetime of XP Home for us. Bulky operating systems are such a waste. I really wish Ubuntu would reach the point where pc shops are readily offering it as a free alternative to microsofts operating system.
