AVG has released the latest version of AVG Antivirus.
AVG Antivirus 8.5 Free Edition is the latest release. It provides anti-virus and anti-spyware security protection for Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows XP Operating Systems. AVG is a very good antivirus product and the plus point being it is free for all!
Most of the Laptop buyers switch to AVG Antivirus once the antivirus that comes with the Laptop expires in 60 or 90 days.

I recently brought Kaspersky. But am seeing lots of problems with my PC now…
I just send mail to Kaspersky support and trying to resolve them…Am seeing very slow response from the customer support guys
What sort of problem are you experiencing?
If you are using 2009 then try upgrading (it is free) to 2010.
Try the Kaspersky official forums besides emailing support. There are plenty of knowledgeable and helpful guys in the forum. Another good place is Wilders Security forum.

@TechZoomIn, oh you purchased Kaspersky… Why? you can find free ones on internet with valid licenses. I am using Kaspersky, dont’ have any problem as such.
Although I’m not using any antivirus software, AVG is one of my favorite antivirus.

Lots of people are. I use it when i cant find any key for Kaspersky.
Avira has the best detection rate. It beats even norton, kaspersky, bitdefender and the rest.
However, its cleaning mech isnt very effective. Kaspersky has the best cleaning mech.
I would reccomend Avira over AVG any day.

@Pallab, Yeah you are right. I see you are giving +ve info about Avira, I haven’t used it at all. Will try it soon because, my Kaspersky is expiring in few days.

@Best CSS Gallery, I don’t think so, but if you are looking for free antivirus. Avira and AVG are good.
Interesting post. I use Avira but I’m thinking of getting new av, maybe AVG is the answer? I would give it a try.

@animacje,I have used AVG in the past but not Avira. I would give a try for Avira.
i am having McAfee in my laptop as it came with the new laptop, but in my other PC while surfing directories and sites there is lot of virus probs coming and so was looking for a good antivrus. i was using Avast but not satisfied with it but now will try AVG Antivirus and lets hope for the best.

I have used this antivirus about an year ago, resulting in lots of viruses in my computer. I don’t think, it has any future market.

I WANT TO KEEP MY AVG 8.5 FOR 2010 NOT THAT LATEST VERSION OF 9.0.WHERE IN ORDER TO HAVE IT FREE YOU HAVE TO BUY SOMETHING FROM BLOCKBUSTER FOR THE YEAR . WITH MY CREDIT CARD WICH I DON’T WANT TO DO. ALBERT ELTON.
