Just recently, there was an upgrade of Download WordPress 2.8.3 Security Update.
Wordpress has come up with one more Security Release – Wordpress 2.8.4 Security Release

Yesterday a vulnerability was discovered: a specially crafted URL could be requested that would allow an attacker to bypass a security check to verify a user requested a password reset. As a result, the first account without a key in the database (usually the admin account) would have its password reset and a new password would be emailed to the account owner. This doesn’t allow remote access, but it is very annoying.
You can upgrade automatically to Wordpress 2.8.4 from your Dashboard.

@Best CSS Gallery, good need to be up to date.
Thanks Nihar, Downloaded. Looked like it could have been an annoying security issue if anyone tried it on your blog!
@Jonny, it might be. if we have bad luck then our blog might be hit by a hacker.

@Anish, Great…
Gonna upgrade my blog to latest 2.84 now.
@Steve, How are you doing dude?
I went to download version 2.8.3 & saw that 2.8.4 was up already. The great thing about WordPress is that problems get fixed quickly, before lots of users could end up being compromised.
@Goran, yeah you are right. very fast now a days in getting new versions.
I upgraded as well, luckily it wasn’t that serious but more annoying as people could just constantly reset your password.
@Buy PSP Go, Thats good that you upgraded soon.
I upgraded and couldn’t believe how simple it was. I’ve upgraded loads of software in the past and 9 times out of 10 it fails. This was a joy to do.
@Andy Fitzpatric, Great that it worked without any problems
