Lots of Windows users around the globe have started using Windows 7, but there also lots of users who might be using Hacked or Cracked Windows 7.
I mean those who have installed Illegitimate version of Windows 7 using a crack or activator.
Beware!!!
Microsoft is going to release a new Microsoft Update for Windows 7. This update is a Windows 7′s built-in activation and validation system.
This is a step to reduce the piracy and counterfeit of their Product.
Keep watching for a Windows Update with title “Update for Microsoft Windows (KB971033)”. It will be rolled out in Late February. KB971033 can also be downloaded from Microsoft Update Center starting from February 17th, 2010
Microsoft’s KB971022 update will be able to validate and detect 70 known exploits on your system.
According to Genuine Windows blog,
Windows Activation Technologies Update for Windows 7 will be able detect more than 70 known and potentially dangerous activation cracks or exploits. Activation exploits are sometimes called “hacks”, and attempt to bypass or compromise Windows’ activation technologies.
How KB971033 update will work:
Once installed, the Update protects customers by identifying known activation exploits that may affect their PC experience. If any activation exploits are found, Windows will alert the customer and offer options for resolving the issue – in many cases, with just a few clicks. Machines running genuine Windows 7 software with no activation exploits will see nothing – the update runs quietly in the background protecting your system. If Windows 7 is non-genuine, the notifications built into Windows 7 will inform the customer that Windows is not genuine by displaying informational dialog boxes with options for the customer to either get more information, or acquire genuine Windows. The desktop wallpaper will be switched to a plain desktop (all of the customer’s desktop icons, gadgets, or pinned applications stay in place). Periodic reminders and a persistent desktop watermark act as further alerts to the customer.
Users who are using Hacked or Cracked Windows 7 need not worry as this, KB971033 Windows Activation Technologies update is an optional update.
So, if a smart windows users can figure out the update by looking at the Microsoft Update name and decide not to install can still keep using Illegitimate copy of Windows 7

…And by the time this ‘update’ gets around there will just be another patch to get rid of it. Microsoft has been doing this with XP for so long you would think they might just leave 7 users alone and realize, like with any form of pirated media, there are more people USING it the more people pirate it. May be a Linux world before too long.

Came across this article and am surprised as I download ALL updates that WU tells me and it has not installed KB971033, neither on my PC or my brothers which has the same version of Win7 that I got pirated from torrent..
I will however look out for it in future! Thanks ;o)
i just want to ask a question
i have windows 7 ahacked version
and i wanted to install internet explorer 9 so i did and after downloading it from clubic site..i hade a windows says that it’s gathering necessery updates then it says installing them …i didnt wait it to finish and i close it ..then i went to see the new updates and i found one frm microsoft and i disunstall it and my pc automaticly reboted
and now i;m afraid that my windows will be messed up…so how can i know if that will happen and if it does can i just install my windows again?
i hope u give me the answer soon ..i’m really worried
