Ramzan Eid (festival) for the year 2010 is expected to celebrated on 10th September, 2010 based on the display of the Moon(Chand). Ramzan is the ninth month of Islamic Calendar. As Compared to the Solar Calendar the dates of Ramzan vary, moving backwards about eleven days each year depending on the moon.
Ramzan / Eid is the islamic month of fasting. Fasting is intended to teach muslims about patience, humility and spirituality. During Ramzan Muslims ask forgiveness for past sins, pray for guidance and help in refraining from everyday evils, and try to purify themselves through self-restraint and good deeds. Ramzan is also called Ramadhan, Ramadan, Ramazan, Id-ul-fitr.
Reading Quran in Ramzan
In addition to fasting, Muslims are encouraged to read the entire Qur’an. Some Muslims perform the recitation of the entire Qur’an by means of special prayers, called Tarawih, which are held in the mosques every night of the month, during which a whole section of the Qur’an (Juz’, which is 1/30 of the Qur’an) is recited. Therefore the entire Qur’an would be completed at the end of the month.
Ramzan Haleem
During the Ramzan month delicious dish Haleem will be prepared. Haleem is made up of with pure ghee and meat. Many likes Haleem due to its taste and rich availability of vitamins.
