I am the fan of the Google not only for its unique services, but also Google’s responsibility over the society. Google started a variety of new social service activities, in that i inspired by thePerson Finder (Missing Persons finding service at the time of New zealand earth quake) service a lot.

Now Google with NRG and clean energy technology , U.S. Department of Energy investing $168 million solar energy power plant. Which is going to be the largest solar tower in the world. Brightsource’s Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System (ISEGS) is developing this project at Mojave Desert in California. This Project generates 392 Mega Watts of power, from which 90,000 odd cars may run around 25 years (almost life time). Just imagine How much pollution is going to control from this.

The Ivanpah Power Tower will be approximately 450 feet tall and will use 173,000 heliostats, each with two mirrors. The project is being constructed by Bechtel, a major engineering firm. Construction began in October 2010, and is projected to finish in 2013.

    How this Solar Tower works?

It works by using a field of mirrors called heliostats, which concentrates sun rays onto a solar receiver which is at the top of tower. Receiver generates steam which rotates the turbines, then energy produced from these towers. The Idea solar tower is very efficient which saves the area.
