Hybrid Boot is a new feature in Microsoft Windows 8 Milestone 1 (build 7850). This feature allows users to reduce startup / Shutdown times.
In Windows 8, the startup time from the time PC is booted is significantly improved. If Hybrid Boot is enabled, restart behavior of your computer remains un-affected.

How to Enable / Disable Hybrid Boot in Windows 8
- Go to Start -> Control Panel.
- Open Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
- click on “Choose what the power button does”.
- then, click on “Change settings that are currently unavailable”.
- Go to the bottom and select enable or disable hybrid boot.
