After settling down with Windows 7, I was surprised to see that Quick Launch was missing from Windows 7 Taskbar

It seems that Microsoft have deprecated Quick Launch from Windows 7. But, there is a good news for all quick launch bar lovers like me. One can add Quick Launch bar in Windows 7 using the below hack.

How to Repair and Fix Windows 7 Updates Error using Fix WU Utility

Recently, I installed Windows 7 using Windows 7 DVD created using using Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool.

After started using Windows 7, I suddenly started facing Windows Updates Error in Windows 7. I tried rebooting the machine and tried Windows Update on Windows 7, but was getting Windows Update Error.

I then took help of Google God and found out the solution. I am happy to share the same with you.

As a Windows user you must be knowing that proper functioning of Automatic Updates is very important to keep Windows 7 updated. Windows 7 Windows Update or Windows Vista Windows Update is known to stop working if some of the required DLL go missing or there are registry problems.

To resolve this issue, all you need to do is to Download and run Fix WU v1.0

Fix WU Utility re-registers DLLs and all other required files that are needed for Windows Updates to run properly.

Solution to “BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart” Error while Trying to Boot Windows 7

Yesterday, i installed Windows 7 Operating System on my Desktop Computer using Windows 7 DVD. I created Windows 7 DVD using Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool. The installation was quick and everything went fine.

After installation completed, I installed Windows 7 Drivers. As always, after installing any drivers we need to restart the PC.

I was surprised to see an error while my Desktop computer was booting up.

BOOTMGR is missing. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

The above error came up after installing Windows 7. I was surprised to see this. My initial reaction was “Whether my Hard Drive is showing signs of wear and tear”.

I tried pressing “Ctrl+Alt+Del” and rebooted the PC, but no success end up with the same error message.

I then used my Lappy to find out the solution to BOOTMGR is missing Error in Windows 7 in Google.

I was happy to find the solution and solve the issue. I am now sharing the same with you all.

My Windows 7 Installation Failed and Hanged at 62% – Upgrade from Vista

Yesterday, I was upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7 on my Sony Vaio Laptop. The installation of Windows 7 suddenly stopped. I first thought that, it will start. But, after sometime i was sure that Windows 7 Installation Hanged. Windows 7 Installation stopped and Hanged at 62%.

I then restarted the Laptop. But, again Windows 7 Installation failed and hanged at 62%. It was strange.

I then tried to find the solution on the Internet via Google God. I was happy to find a solution. I would like to share the solution with my readers on this blog.

If you look into setupact.log, you should be seeing the following error message which is repeated every 15 minutes is logged:

Warning [0x080b50] MIG AsyncCallback_ApplyStatus: Progress appears to be stuck. Current progress: 62

It turns out that the cause of the problem is because of iphlpsvc service. iphlpsvc service hangs during the upgrade.
