Easy File Uploading in Wordpress – WP Easy Uploader Plugin

Chris Jean has come up with a wonderful plugin WP Easy Uploader. It is a very useful wordpress plugin which can upload plugins, themes and any other files quickly and easily from Wordpress admin panel. You no longer have to upload the files using web File manager or from an FTP client.

I discovered this plugin from this Real Themes Blog.

Plugin features – I liked :

  • You can install any theme or plugin directly from a URL and you don’t need to download it before uploading to your server
  • Easily upload plugins directly to the plugins directory and theme files directly to the themes directory.
  • Select to have archives automatically extracted to their destination. This means that plugins and themes will be taken care of for you, but it also means that you can zip up a large set of files and upload them quickly into a folder on your site. Currently zip, tar, gz, tar.gz, tgz, and tar.bz2 archives are supported.

I think this is one of the Must Have Wordpress Plugins. Let me know what do you think of this plugin??

How to show Chitika Premium to US Visitors and eMinimalls to Non US Visitors

In my previous post, I demonstrated How To Geo-Target Ads based on visitors location.

Today i am going to use the same method that i mentioned in the above post to Display Chitika Premium Ads to US Visitors and Non Premium Ads to Non-US Visitors

But before that i recommend you to read the above post first and then continue reading this post.

First, let me explain why i am doing this. Chitika Premium ads are shown only to US traffic and no ad is displayed if the visitor is not from US. In this way, i am wasting that whole ad space.

After implementing the below method, you can also show Chitika Premium ads for US Visitors and eMinimalls ad for Non-US Visitors.

You can see chitika ad on the right sidebar just below Recent Comments section. If you are from US, you are seeing Chitika Premium ad and if not you are seeing Chitika eMinimalls Non Premium ad.

Give Reward to commentators – Use ‘NoFollow Free’ WP Plugin

In one of my previous post, i mentioned about CommentLuv Plugin which pulls the title of the commentators blogs latest post and places its link just below the comment.

Well the above plugin is rewarding/benefitting the commentator because, i am helping in giving some traffic and providing backlinks. But the backlink will be useful only if it is “NoFollow Free”.

What is nofollow?
nofollow is an HTML attribute value used to instruct search engines that a hyperlink should not influence the link target’s ranking in the search engine’s index. It is intended to reduce the effectiveness of certain types of search engine spam, thereby improving the quality of search engine results and preventing spamdexing from occurring in the first place.

You want to give a new look to your wordpress blog.

What do you usually do?

  • Search for Wordpress Themes. After finding a correct one of your choice and then change the theme.

    • OR

  • Try changing the current Theme itself.

After that you may start making some changes or tweaking the theme. But, because of that changes, your blog may break and your blog visitors may see a buggy blog.
