How to open multiple Google Talk on a single PC

If you have got two people wanting to login to their Gmail account to access Gtalk and chat with their friends on a single PC. What do you do ?

You try Logging in chat with friends after sometime log out and have the other person logging and chat.

Here is the tip to have multiple instances of Google Talk:

  1. Create one copy of the Google Talk shortcut on your desktop - leave the original intact.
  2. Right click on this shortcut and choose Properties. The Target box will show you the path of the EXE for Google Talk - something like “C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe”
  3. Change this to: “C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe” /nomutex
    and click OK.

After you do the above, You will be able to run multiple instances of Google Talk with different identities for each.
