How to Remove / Hide / Disable Google Buzz From Gmail Inbox

Few hours back, I mentioned that Google started a new Gmail feature – Google Buzz. Few minutes back, I logged in to my Gmail and found out that Google Buzz was enabled for me. I am happy to have Google Buzz on my Gmail. But, I am sure there will be some users out there who might not be interested in Google Buzz at this time. They may want it in future but not now.

This post will help for those who don’t want Google Buzz in their Gmail Accounts. I will walk through with few easy steps to Remove / Hide / Disable Google Buzz from Gmail Inbox.

How to Remove / Hide / Disable Google Buzz from Gmail Inbox?

Turning off / on Google Buzz feature in Gmail is pretty simple. Login to your Gmail Inbox and go to the Bottom of the webpage. Now you should find a tiny link called Turn off Buzz. Check out the below screenshot.

Click on Turn Off Buzz link…

What if you don’t want to Turn Off Buzz but, just move all Google Buzz notications out of Gmail Inbox. If that is your case then, read below…

Any Google Buzz notification in Gmail will match the Gmail query label:buzz. It means you could actually setup a GMail Filter to keep all Google Buzz notifications out of the Inbox.

How to Access Gmail Offline using Google Gears

Access Gmail Offline using Google GearsFew months ago, Google released Google Gears. Wordpress uses Google Gears to speed up the Administration Pages.

What is Google Gears?

Google Gear is a extension for Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers that allows to navigate on compatible websites offline and synchronize when going back online.

Today, Google has rolled out a new Gmail feature called “Gmail offline functionality”. With this feature, Gmail users with Google Gears installed can access Gmail in offline mode (i.e when not connected to the Internet). This functionality of browser-based offline access to Gmail will be available to everyone in few days.

Gmail can be skinned with colors and themes!

Most of us might have been observed that Gmail has introduced themes to get a new look to Gmail. I think most of them are now bored of Gmail with same old look (sky blue color).

You can now switch to one of the 30 themes available through the Themes settings.

I was surprised to see this yesterday evening when i opened my mail box.

You can change your Gmail themes through your Settings page:

  • Just look on the top right corner. you will see Themes link.
  • Select one of the themes to change the look of your Gmail
