Chrome 4 natively supports Greasemonkey – meaning 40,000 extensions for Google Chrome 4!

Most of us who use Firefox browser knows about Greasemonkey Firefox Addon.

It is a great news for all Greasemonkey lovers who are missing it in Google Chrome

Chrome 4 now supports Greasemonkey natively. It means there is no need to have an extension for Greasemonkey

Chrome 4 natively supports Greasemonkey - meaning 40,000 extensions for Google Chrome 4!

Aaron Boodman is the developer of Greasemonkey Firefox Addon. He announced that now Google Chrome 4 supports Greasemonkey natively.

It means you now can add 40,000 more extensions in Chrome 4 Browser. User Scripts has 40,000 odd Greasemonkey scripts.

Boodman estimates that between 15 and 25 percent of Greasemonkey scripts won’t work on Chrome because of coding differences between Google’s browser and Firefox.

Download Google Chrome 5 Developer Build
Just few days back, Google released Google Chrome 4 Browser.

Now, Google has come up with Google Chrome 5. It is not a final release. It is a Developer Build – Beta release. Chrome 5 version is Chrome v5.0.307.1.

Chrome 5 Developer Build is released for both Windows and Mac OS.

Google Chrome 5.0.307.1 Changelog

Windows

  • Use default downloads directory on Vista and Windows 7 (except where it is the desktop)
  • Start work on Content Settings window and sub-dialogs

Mac

  • Improved plugin stability.
  • Cocoa NPAPI plugins will now get NPCocoaEventMouseDragged and NPCocoaEventFlagsChanged events
  • Fix crash that sometimes happened when dragging tabs
  • Fix %cpu in task manager.
  • Give the cookies manager a search field.
  • Make copying of big images more robust
  • Improve task manager resizing behavior

It is now official that Google’s Nexus One Phone will be launched from 5th January, 2010. It will be using T-Mobile as a carrier.

T-Mobile Support to be provided to Google Nexus One Phone

  • Keep all information regarding this launch confidential until a formal announcement by Google is released.
  • T-Mobile will offer service support including billing, coverage, featuers and rate plans.
  • Stay tuned for Additional details and StreamLine content to support the Google Android phone in early January.
  • Support for this device including troubleshooting and exchanges wil be managed by Google and HTC.
