“Yudh Abhyas”: India – US Joint Military Exercise

As part of the ongoing Indo-US Defense Cooperation, a largest ever Indo-US Joint Army Exercise YUDH ABHYAS The aim of this exercise to conduct a joint Indo-US training exercise under the framework of agreed joint training program for sharing useful experience in Peace Keeping operations and humanitarian the disaster relief situations. The scope of the exercise is to conduct Indo – US joint training exercise with Counter Insurgency/ Counter Terrorism focus in a semi urban setup. This is a training exercise, to learn from each other’s experience in similar type of military operations.ABHYAS 09, is being carried out at Babina near Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh District of India from 12 to 29 Oct 2009.

“Yudh Abhyas” India – US Joint Military Exercise

A highlight about this exercise is that US Army has shipped 17 “Strykers”, its most modern armored fighting vehicle. Besides Iraq and Afghanistan, US has not used strykers in any other country. This exercise will be a series of drills where in Indian T-90’s similar to American US M1 Abrams and BMP’s are joining Strykers in the war games.

“Earlier, I didn’t know the Indians had a mechanized force of this magnitude with so much of a rich tradition,” This is what Sgt Logan Anderson; An US Army officer had to say after a few drills.

India v Australia 2009/10 ODI Series will be held in India from October 25th, 2009. In total, there will be 7 ODI Matches played in 7 different locations.

* Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh

5 ODI’s will be Day/Night Matches and 2 ODI’s will be Day matches.

India have to perform well to get back to the No. 1 spot in ICC Cricket rankings. They haven’t done well in last two major tournaments ( Twenty20 World Cup and Champions Trophy 2009 ). On the other hand, Australia have done well in ODI Series against England and also won the Champions Trophy 2009. India have now got better batting line up due to inclusion of Sehwag and Yuvraj.

Australia will play 7 ODI matches against India

India v Australia ODI Series will commence in India from October 25th, 2009 and end on Nov 11th, 2009.

Here on NiharsWorld, I will also provide India v Australia ODI Series Cricket Schedule and Match Timings.

There will be in total of 7 ODI’s (One Day Internationals) played between India and Australia. The 7 ODI’s will be completed on Nov 11th, 2009.

Australia are on a high after their successful ODI Series against England and a triumph in Champions Trophy 2009. India on the other hand are not in good form. They have failed in initial rounds in both T20 World cup and Champions Trophy 2009.

It will be interesting to see how India performs with their fast bowling department in very poor form.

ICC Champions Trophy 2009 will be held in South Africa from September 22th, 2009. There will be total of eight teams participating in this ICC Champions Trophy 2009.

4 teams in each group and in total there will be 2 Groups. In total there will 15 Matches, it includes 12 Group Matches, 2 Semi Finals, Final. Initially Each team of a Group will play against the Team in the same group. After 12 Group matches, 4 Teams will be out of contention and 4 Teams will go to “Semi Finals”. All the matches will be held in two grounds SuperSport Park, Centurion and New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.

ICC Champions Trophy 2009 will run from September 22, 2009 to October 3rd, 2009. 12 days of Non Stop Cricket action
