CCleaner is a freeware PC optimization tool. I am using this freeware tool from long time.
It is a combination of System cleaner and Registry cleaner. It cleans all the junk and temp (files) that gets accumulated through internet or installations of applications and also cleans the invalid entries in Windows Registry.
My Review:
- The good thing about this tool is it is light weight and effective.
- A must tool on every Windows PC/Notebook/Laptop.
- One of the best registry cleaners – which doesn’t crash the PC after registry clean
I use ccleaner every week to clean the PC and Optimize PC performance.

I has couple problems with ccleaner tbh, but their blog is really helpful and managed to solve my problem. I still think it’s one of the best free registry cleaners.
CCleaner is definitely a great tool. I run it about once a week to make sure things stay tidy.
There’s also an add-on that you can download called “Click & Clean” that goes ahead and auto-runs CCleaner with your settings in place.
Just make sure you read what you are deleting before you delete anything!

ccleaner is the best I use it daily I don’t use registry cleaner of ccleaner it may cause some problems,in my opinion registry cleaning is not required.

@Venkat, I use both cleaner and registry tool of ccleaner. Did find any specific problem when using registry tool of CCleaner?

Don’t think there is a best option, because it will eventually depend on the Windows operating system, our requirements and the budget.
