I like the changes, I really do. For me anything on a white background is always easier to read. I like the rounded corners. I am impressed with the CSS you used to do this. I just normally go the lazy way and use CSS3. My way does mean that I do not have rounded corners in browsers like IE and Opera. Well done on this.
If I might mention a criticism here it would be that you have a horizontal scrollbar in 1024 X 768. I agree that the days are long gone that we have to support the guys still using 800 X 600 but there are just too many people still using the 1024 X 768 resolution. This is just me and I suppose it is not really a massive problem.
You have now also duplicated your ‘subscribe via EMail’ box but this might just be a good thing.
Congratulations on the changes. Always nice to see bloggers making changes like this. In my opinion the whole blog looks different and that is different, in a nice way.

Yeah, I like this one much better than your old one (I believe it’s the default that comes with the theme, since I used this theme before).
Seems to have less ads too which is better for the eye

I definitely like this sidebar more than the previous one, looks much more organised and professional. Consider reducing the Recent Comments blocks, looks too big. Which plugin you are using for Popular Posts?

I think you should clean up some clutter from your sidebar, the archive widget is not necessary and the recent comments widget, you should squeeze the number to like 5 – 8. The current one is too much. That’s my opinion.

Colorwise and stylewise I like your sidebar. Still, it looks very busy. You may have to take out a few things from there.
Suggestions:
Header:
- Take out the subscribe bar and move 468×60 ad banner all the way to right
- Leave 5 pixels after the top link units (on IE it’s very bad, FF is kind of okay)
Sidebar:
- A lot of space between the beginning of the sidebar and search box.
- Organize the subcribe box (put a big RSS image, push down technorati fave button, move up email subscribe box)
- 125×125 banners are not properly organized. Space them (10 or 12 px) well
- Instead of tag cloud, move up recent posts there
- Recent comments do not add much value so is archives as you already have one on the top nav bar.
- Push down blog roll
The basic color combo is very good… it’s just a matter of organizing.
Here’re some bugs:
- The main contente bottom images is nor wraping well and hence look broken (space between content and the round image)
- The widget that shows people online has no top edges rounded

The sidebar looks great. Though it is a bit too long right now. Btw any reason why you do not use google adsense for search? Do try it. You might be surprised by the results.

Yes that side bar looks more good. I think you should move the search button a bit more top.

Sidebar looks good. Remove borders on the images (Css – #container img ) and check if it looks more appealing to you !
And I’ll agree to Ajith above, remove unnecessary things and don’t clutter your sidebar. (I am talking with experience on many of my blogs
)
One more suggestion – change color of all the links on your sidebar to which you want visitor to focus. For your orange color, blue has very good affinity. (Try #425bc4).
Keep experimenting and check your bounce rate

Perhaps it could be a bit better organized. I get kind of lost over there because the long lists all look the same… Maybe once you make it shorter it will work better.
