ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 will be held in sub continent. It will be held from February 19th, 2011 to April 2nd, 2011. There will be 49 matches played in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

The opening Match will be between the co-hosts India and Bangladesh and will be played in Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.

Opening Ceremony of ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 will be held in Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh on February 17th, 2011.

1. World renowned Canadian pop singer Bryan Adams will be performing with ‘Summer of 69’ hitmaker to make this event an unforgettable experience. Adams is the only western artist to perform at the gala opening

2. The official song of the ICC World Cup 2011 will be sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Divya Kumar. The title of the Cricket World Cup official song is “De Ghuma Ke” which is composed by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy trio.

It will be sung in three different languages: Hindi, Bangla and Sinhala.
