    Why the buzz about Android Based Tablets?

It has all the basic features a tablet can offer and what’s much better is that it continues to expand from something relatively small to a growing giant, due to the improvements made with the release of Android 3.0 and due to its competence.

    An android tablet may refer to any tablet in the market that utilizes the Android OS, by Google. Android who has taken the lead on the smartphone market is now becoming one of the most awaited operating systems for tablet pcs.     You might be thinking that android tablets would never be a match with the iPad, but you could be wrong. This was the case last year where the launch of the iPad had really started the fuzz on tablets. This year though is a different story. It has a new user interface that is much sleeker and easier to operate and among many great features it also introduces a new browser experience with Google Chrome which includes tab browsing and support for Flash.

    In terms of hardware most Android 3.0 Tablets will be powered by dual core processor and 3D graphics accelerators proving great speed and performance to the user. The openness of the android OS will encourage developers and hardware manufacturers to innovate and float the market with thousands of applications to satisfy every user requirement. Already we have seen CNN, Economist and many other media providers to start developing Android 3.0 optimized applications.

    Let’s take a look on one of the most awaited android 3.0 tablets, the Motorola Xoom. Xoom will probably be the first tablet to launch with Android 3.0. This powerful device will actually have a dual core processor and a 10 inch high resolution multi-touch display (1280 X 800). In addition it will have two cameras (rear and front), 32GB on board memory and all these wrapped in a beautiful sleek design. The XOOM can certainly offer a totally new tablet experience for everyone and will be available by end of February.

    The tablet industry is expected to evolve this year. Many more innovations are expected from the Android Partners and Appe and it looks like it will be a very exiting year for the tablet funs.
